No one needs TV to survive, and the government shouldnt force ANY company to lower their rates, or change their services (with the exception of health related issues).
TV is an entertainment industry, and if people wanted ala carte programming so badly, some venture capitalist somewhere will start a company that does just that, and make billions of dollars.
So why did the Government see it fit to seize land for an "entertainment service" to build its network?
