non-competes are illegal. courts have ruled several times that a city can not elect to have one cable provider or one provider for anything.if the customers wanted another cable provider bad enough they would have already figured that out.But then again--i'm sure you're a big supporter some how of FiOS and how its putting a dent into the cable industry.
