Has anyone had any success accessing the Verizon mobile portal here, »https://m.verizon.com/pammobile/default.aspx
I can access TV listings but am not able to set up a recording. I do not have the Home Media DVR which maybe required for this to work.
Hope others can make use of this. |

| Thanks Darci', that's what I thought the problem was.
Just to emphasize one point, this is a mobile formatted portal. I have not seen this before. I saw it on a post by Dave Zatz on his site. This is not restricted to Verizon wireless. I can access it with no problems on an iPod and on a Sprint network phone. So hopefully remote DVR is now available to a lot more people that are not on the Verizon Wireless network. |

| Have been able to log into the beta FIOS TV Central section with existing user name and password, but get "Authorization Failure on the Digital Voice section. No ability at first glance to see recording space left on DVR's, although can see the STB list and serial numbers.
Anyone else been able to get into the beta Digital Voice section with their password?

| Don't know about voice. As far as recording shows, it works great. Obviously this is still a beta version. You can't see how much DVR space you have left and you can't delete a recording or even view what you have recorded on the DVR. Hopefully they will address that. I feel it should mirror what you can do on the web through Verizon Central. Just my opinion. |

@rr.com | reply to Rob20895 I think it stinks that they force you to purchase the Home Media DVR.I would love to be able to schedule recordings but have no interest in their Home Media solution. |

| To be clear, the Home Media DVR option is not a separate hardware product - it is a $4 month software entitlement add-on to any HD DVR to allow you to schedule recordings remotely, share content to non-DVR STB's (debatable right now)and remotely access status information from the web or now cell browser.
So really you are being forced to lease that additional software capability if you desire those optional features to your HD DVR STB. |

| I'll pass
Like I've always said, "Verizon will give away no feature that it can find a way to charge for."
It would be nice to have - but not worth the incremental charge. -- "...and all the science, I don't understand. It's just my job, five days a week" |

So I am confused. I pay 19.95 a month for an HD multiroom DVR (which shows up as Home Media DVR on my bill). I thought the extra charge was for the multi-room feature. Are you suggesting that I am also paying extra for remote scheduling? |

| No. He's paying $19.95 and that includes the ability to use the remote DVR recording.
Which, the more I think about it, should be free to use, even without HM. (Digress) -- "...and all the science, I don't understand. It's just my job, five days a week" |
