All the cable and sat providers are hiking prices. I'm dropping my Dish Network package down to the bronze HD and getting rid of my DVR. I don't watch sports, and animal planet isn't worth $10. |

| Switch to someone who will give me a better offer for 12 or 24 months. Even as a long time customer the threat of leaving doesn't equate into a lower bill. Only when you call to actually cancel are they willing to suddenly work with you. |

You're paying for the loss of other subs and services. Once the bottom line falls enough, stockholders get panicky and all hell breaks loose.
