MJ on Mac startup screen stays forever

Hi,

I'm trying to use MJ on my MBP 2.53 and I got it to work but the problem I have is that the startup screen (where you see the magicjack with the words "one minute of patience for a lifetime of savings") stays open and I have no way of moving or closing it... it just hangs and blocks everything behind it....

Anyone experience this? even after I close the main magic jack screen this annoying little logo thing stays.. any ideas what I can do?

Thanks, Chaim

A workaround I would try is described on the wiki how-to[1], to eliminate the splash screen. When MJ starts normally, it runs a process called magicjackloader.exe which does *a lot* of stuff (much of which, if you watch procmon, doesn't look very good). That process also displays the splash screen.

If you follow the wiki instructions to bypass it, not only will there be no splash screen to get stuck on your screen. But, there will be a lot less initialization processing which may be incompatible with your system.

Hi thanks a lot for your help.

I haven't yet tried this but it seems from the instructions that it's intended for PC and not for the MAC, is there anyway to achieve this on a mac?

Thanks

Try the MAC users forum at www.magicjacksupport.com.
