What changed? Everything I saw on that list has been the same since I got XM in December. |

A lot of the music channels were gone by the time you got XM they went away on NOV 12th, 2008 with the Sirius XM merger, but most all of them are back on-the-air now, due to popular demand, subscribers BITCHED, and threatened to cancel, if they didn't restore the music channels that were taken away.....customers do get listened too in this case... |

Yeah I've heard a lot angry people complaining about that. It seems to me that Sirius and XM must have had somewhat different audiences, and the programming "meet me in the middle" isn't really appealing to any of them. |

My whole reason for getting Sirius XM was the Music, I just couldn't get that Free-over-the-air on FM, you still cannot, not even with Free internet Radio, cuz that even has ads in it,I think the Program Directors really didn't know what the cumtomers really wanted until this happened, at least now they know what the subscribers really want to pay for..... |

Now if they would only get rid of the overly yappy DJs. They really don't need 'em! I was hoping to avoid the excessive talking when I signed up with Sirius since I can get that on FM (or AM). But that's another thread... |

But that's another thread... If your speaking of what they do on all of the Decade Music Channels, like the 70s 80's 90's Soultown, and the Strobe just to name a few of them, that's what it sounded like back in-the-day, but without all of the Radio Ads, I'm 52, and when i was a teenager, that is what AM/FM Radio did back then ( 1960s 1970s and in the BIG 80s), so, you can't get rid of the DJs on those channels, if you do, it just wouldn't sound very authentic, as long as I don't here Ads/Commercials, and they keep the Music going 24/7, I'm kwel with that, remember this one thing, at the end of the day, and in the end, all that really matters is the Music, that's all we have left in the world to be happy about.......... |

I agree, but I would add I don't mind the DJ's talking if they have something useful to say. For instance I like listening to Richard Blade on First Wave, he's usually got useful info and doesn't go on for too long. An example of the worst kind of DJ, I think most of us can agree, is Madison, where she thinks the program exists to be all about her. |

Most DJs are full of themselves anyway, back in the early 70s, I used to work in a AM-Radio Top-40 Station, all I did was edit the Hit music carts, and promos Ads, but, the talk-over the DJs used to do only is suppose to last as long as the music intro is, like 2 seconds to 4 seconds long, and that's about it, when the song starts the singing, the DJs are suppose to shut-the-hell-up....LOL |

If they bring back XM channel 2 and the live concerts, I'll be a happy camper.
A little OT - I do believe that XM & Tivo are competing very strongly for that prestigious award: "How not to build a web site." |

I certainly hope you plan on doing more than posting it here if you're expecting anyone from Sirius/XM to read it. I highly doubt anyone that works there (anyone of any importance, anyway) reads this forum. |
