Richmond Hill, ON | WR850G with VPN (DD-WRT) Hi
I am wondering have anyone have successfully use DD-WRT firmware and setup VPN gateway on a WR850G? and whats the different with V1 , V2 , V3 of DD-WRT for WR850G ?
i have a old WR850G sitting around so i am thinking of using DD-WRT to setup as a VPN gateway so i can use my laptop to VPN into my home network. If anyone have any step by step setup of such or any other info upon this , can you point me to it plz? |
| I have a V2 850G with DD-WRT V24Sp1 Mini on it
The differences between the versions of the Routers is how much ram it has on it, V1= 4mb, V2/V3 =16mb
As for the VPN aspect, the 850 should be able to run it as the it has enough ram to support it, but Wait until SP2 of DD-WRT is released in June, SP1's bugs are annoying to say the least |
