The differences between the versions of the Routers is how much ram it has on it, V1= 4mb, V2/V3 =16mb

I am wondering have anyone have successfully use DD-WRT firmware and setup VPN gateway on a WR850G? and whats the different with V1 , V2 , V3 of DD-WRT for WR850G ?

i have a old WR850G sitting around so i am thinking of using DD-WRT to setup as a VPN gateway so i can use my laptop to VPN into my home network.
