Acanac: 3Mbps profile, but my line supports up to 11Mbps!

I've been on a 3Mbps profile for a while, but I just moved in in a house 3 blocks from the CO, and a Bell tech came to install a brand new phone line and showed me the results of his speed test: my line can support up to 11Mbps!
He also confirmed what I always complained about: I'm on a 3Mbps profile.

I already opened a few tickets with Acanac about this issue, but they just open them and hope I will forget about them... Nobody calls me or emails me, and when I contact Acanac, they always have a crappy excuse.

I just don't know what to do to get the speed I'm paying for, short of cancellling the service.

please give us your modem stats and send a private IM to "Acanac PN"... he should be able to help you.

I just called Acanac and spoke to a tech, according to him my profile should be raised to 5Mbps in the next 48h.
I guess we'll see if Acanac delivers this time...

Thanks for the advice and the Acanac contact info on this forum.

I'll report back on this forum in 48h.

It's been a few days now, and absolutely no change has occured. If anything, my latency went up and my download speeds are a bit slower.
I sent a PM to Acanac PN, we,ll see what happens.

BTW, how do you get stats about your line/modem? My modem is the one provided by Acanac, but the router function is disabled and handled by a standalone router.

You need to connect the modem directly on your computer and enter 192.168.1.1 in your browser, it should be under status--modem status but when we do check the stat, the internet don't work after that you have to close de modem with the black button behind and open it again.

If you bridged the Modem, you'll need to reset it and put in your Acanac credentials again, to get your stats.
