Complaining to me about the patches is like complaining to the janitor of a school about the educational system. :P<br><br>That said, there were some issues not addressed by 1.6.2 and, hey, some minor problems caused by 1.6.2 which are to be fixed by the next patch.  I personally have heard of no additional patches coming before 1.7, but that doesn't necessarily mean that there aren't any. ]]></description>

Using the remote to flip thru channels using the up or down arrows, the channels remain without changing.  I have to hit the up or down arrow on the remote to change channels.  I have completely rebooted the STB, still the same problem.  I also have tried by completely deleted my "Favorites" and re-established them and problems still continue using the remote.   Any suggestions?]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[bwintx posted : Awakened to the "clicks" at 4:15 AM (CDT) today here in Plano, TX. Have an HD DVR but only an SDTV (have hoped to do better but haven't yet), so could detect no PQ change, of course.<br><br>Did notice successful elimination of "stutter" on the skip key, as well as indication in DVR listings of how many items are in each folder (as applicable).<br><br>Don't really care about a one-channel mini-guide either way, since I rarely use it.<br><br>Also noticed that self-diagnostics came up successful on the DNS parameter, which hasn't been true for a long time. No idea on that one.<br><br>Summation: I'm good w/ 1.6.2. Hope you fortunate HDTV owners are, too.]]></description>

The first time a logo was added where it had been blank there was a slight delay moving from one channel to the next, but that's gone now. Both times while watching one channel while recording on another.  Once the color pallet changed from vivid (16 million?) to harsh (looked like 16 colors).  I changed channels and it stayed in the lower color pallet.  I changed to a different input and had no similar experience from the Wii.  When I changed back it was still the lower color pallet.  It cleared itself after 10 or so minutes. One of our sets is a 60" Sony SXRD.  The SD improved a great deal with this release but naturally SD is not why we have this set.  While it is no longer blurry (in general) and certainly is watchable, it is by no means pristine as the SD is on our SD sets and smaller HD sets.  The SD is also very good on the front projection set since the release.  As far as HD on the Sony, however, after 3 years the PQ still amazes me!]]></description>

I watched this same replay earlier before the update and it wasn't doing that.]]></description>
