Until the public wakes up and starts giving support to people like Nader, we're going to be controled by mega-corporations. That includes a shift of what is acceptable in society, as seen in this decision. |

SLDPremium join:2002-04-17 San Francisco, CA | reply to Ebolla Believe it or not, the Gov't is fully responsible for the decisions made by the Supreme Court. It just so happens that many political decisions have been made by that court since Bush took office. I'm just saying I don't expect a "change". |

 | reply to uid1307457 Ask GW Bush and Cheney about the blur between Judicial and Executive power and authority. We can cite till we are blue in the face but the fact of the matter is, Govt and the corporations the politicians are beholden to will do what they want when they want to. The US Supreme Court can quash ANY legal challenge by refusing to hear a case, the Appeals courts can refuse to hear any case. The various TELCOS that exist today would not be possible if the public had not supplied previous iterations of these telcos certain benefits, rights of way, tax breaks, "monopolies" etc. so quoting the linage of today's Telcos doesn't make a whit of difference. I say So What and I am rambling! We still have companies advertising services for x dollars a month and then fail to deliver that service for that dollar amount. I say force the providers to reveal total cost of the services including taxes, unregulated surcharges and misc fees imposed so that the consumer gets an accurate picture |
