I thought Quake 1 and 2 were very innovative. I thought Quake 3 was completely dull, completely trumped in every way by Unreal Tournament.
reply to jackknife Also, if it were not for Quake, we would not have had TF, and from that, we now have the awesome TF2
unfortunately i agree completely. part of me wishes that quake 3 was not related to Quake at all. i have so many fond memories playing quakeworld on my 33.6kbps aol account when i was a kid. god those were the days.
