PC doing some automatic web browsing

Click for full size
Whenever I connect my PC to the broadband internet, and even though I don’t do any web browsing i.e when I keep my connection idle, still I can see my pc doing some minor web browsing (20kb per 30 secs) automatically in the background, I have turned off all automatic updates.

I am worried becoz my internet bill will increase to an extent (as I don’t have so much money)

The reason why I posted this topic is becoz now a days this has increased a bit more, may be some virus

I hope u guys know how do I know that my pc does some automatic browsing , u know in the task bar towards the right there are 2 small icons which I have marked in the picture with red, those are the 2 icons on the task bar which blink whenever my pc does web browsing

I am very serious, plz help

Even though you might not be doing anything, there is always some sort of activity in the background that will cause this. Nothing to worry about. Many programs will periodically connect to some remote server to do some task such as check e-mail (I see Incredimail in your tray) or looking for updates (I see AVG Antivirus in your tray too). The legitimate reasons are too numerous to number.

If you are behind a router and you have some sort of monitoring program running it will cause some activity too.

Let me clarify one little detail. Web browsing is what you do in your web browser. What you are seeing here is some sort of Internet or local network activity which is not the same thing.
