| Stuck on Synchronizing
Alright so I just got my new wireless internet setup - using them point to point microwave antennas or whatever (only option to high speed out in my rural area). Anyhow - I'm having issues connecting to the Ventrilo server I've used over the years- a server I've specifically connected to with no issues what so ever on different connections; with my same laptop. My connection reads and pings the server perfectly fine but when I connect - it doesn't pass "Synchronizing".
I already spoke with my ISP - and according to them, they don't block any specific ports other than ports vulnerable for virus activity etc etc.
I've come to find that if I reset the built in router/modem attached to the antenna (by disconnecting the power supply) as soon as the modem runs back up - Vent WILL connect to the server but then I can't hear anyone when they talk. And that's the only way it'll connect to the Vent server. And no it's not my firewall. Like I said towards the beginning - if I'm on any other connection elsewhere - no issues. I've logged onto the modem but can't seem to find anything relevant to port blocking; but then again, I'm pretty much clueless on networking.
FYI - I'm connected directly to the cable coming off the built in modem on the antenna. The port the server I'm trying to connect to uses: 3238. My ISP uses a motorola canopy.
How can I fix this?????
Thanks in Advance |
