Since there is little competition, you have only 2 options. Cancel TWC (and have no TV/Internet) or stay with them no matter how bad they are screwing you over. If you can get FIOS, then you can go to that. In NYC you either get TWC or CV (Cablevision). CV gives you much more for your money but that means nothing if you are in TWC's Cable Monopoly footprint.
