Re: [Business] Buying a DOCSIS 3 Complaint Cable Modem

Currently, as far as I have seen, a D3 modem will set you back about $500.
Not $50.00... $500.00(Five Hundred Dollars)
Leasing is the current best idea.
I would love some people post some links here on D3 prices, as the only one I've seen is for a Linksys posted in an earlier commented in this thread. I've looked round and have not found any for the Netgear, Motorola, Cisco (Scientific-Atlanta), or SMC that the orginal person mentioned. Cisco's documentation shows that their modem has been around at least a year. It is certainly not my cup of tea to spend a lot on a modem so I do like to price shop. However, so far I can't find any other modems to get a good comparison.

That would be incredibly cheap considering it's basically 4 D2 modems in one
(even with IC there is some development/lead cost, usually paid by early adopters).
but the top one seems to have reasonable ratings (not too hard to fake

Are you gonna buy ME one?
I'll wait until I NEED one, (which could be quite a while) before I put my cash up.
