Re: Road Runner branding said by Authority:You will see gazillions of unhappy customers, MORE than other carriers (I counted). Do you really expect anything less when multiple outages over the last couple weeks caused by hackers are affecting large parts of their internet service area?

said by Authority:Charter, Cox, and RCN, are all on rolling it out already while "Time Warner Cable has yet to solidify their DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade plans"... TWC hasn't announced their D3 plans, but meanwhile TWC has rolled out 100 mbps symmetric residential service in an area and is exploring residential fiber to the home for future services:

Can you show us the part where it's NATIONWIDE? Name the cities outside of Beaumont, TX at least.
Psst... TWC announced they were changing the limits and prices on the caps according to your own link.
BTW, AT&T has caps too and they're not much higher than what TWC did in the Beaumont trial: »More Specifics On AT&T's Cap Plans
Even their latest, cutting edge product Uverse has caps.
said by Authority:The fastest tier from Comcast is 4X faster than the fastest tier from Time Warner. That's horrible to me, and shows they're just not keeping up. Yet you're on a 6 mbps service from AT&T... You say it's so horrible that TWCs speeds are so "slow", yet you're paying for slower. Who's not keeping up again?
Actually your link is from a paid research firm, who mentioned TWC last in their short summary trying to get people to buy the whole report. It surveyed 842 people.
Both ongoing ratings and as of TODAY Roadrunner outranks many of the other cable ISPs actually here on DSLR, higher than Cox, Comcast, Brensan, Charter, RCN, and many others: »www2.dslreports.com/gbu
DSLR rankings have more people participating too.
said by Authority:Indeed... subs dropping faster than peers (fact), Wrong, again according to one of your own links. Comcast lost half a million vs TWCs 119 thousand basic video subscriber losses.
BTW, if you look at TWCs quarterly report 78 thousand of those 119 lost were actually sold off to another company. Meanwhile TWC also GAINED 44 thousand digital video subscribers, 124 thousand high speed internet subscribers and 130 thousand phone subscribers. So overall TWC gained customers last quarter.

The FCC actually fined TWC for pushing ahead too fast on some of the technology being rolled out. »www.cedmagazine.com/FCC-fines-TWC-Cox.aspx
said by Authority: lowest customer satisfaction (fact), Wrong. Check DSLRs Good, Bad, Ugly page. said by Authority:you tell me what they're doing RIGHT? Faster speeds than AT&T. |
