There still will be caps, but comcast doesn't feel the need to mention in every press release, and apparently Karl forgot or is tired of see CAPS! in every other post (every post for some people  )

Why should we get over it ? It is wrong not to be clearly disclosed and the slanting of advertisement needs to be corrected.

Dracut, MA | Re: when will they drop the caps? The Ads for services do not mention you cannot have servers on a comcast connection, they also do not mention you cannot resell your connection. This does not mean it is false advertisement. No where in these Ads does it mention unlimited downloads or bandwidth consumption. If they did then yes you would be correct. It is is the ToS and thats the only place it NEEDS to be. | |

It does not need to be mentioned as unlimited, but it does need to mention that a line that could deliver about 2 TB / mo normally can be used only for 250 GB artificially. It does mention the speed limits (6,8, or whatever Mb/s) so why not the transfer caps ?
After all, if the fancy restrictions do not need to be specified in the advertisement, then you would feel just fine if you could use your purchased connection only Tuesdays between 10-11 PM when the Moon is in half phase, right ? as long as it is in the TOS.

kudos:3 | Re: when will they drop the caps? I would love to see Karl do an experiment.. he won't but would be nice.. just post an article with the heading "COMCAST HSI" and that's it.. and see just how many people cry about caps.
You're acting as is there is a inalienable right to HSI and to have it sold in a manner in which you would like it to. Hey, I'd like to see no caps either, however, I also know the alternative to managing a network... you get hogs that will push it at EVERY corner and make other people's internet use diminished.
It IS funny how the amount of day time complains are falling to an all time low ever since the management systems have been put in place.. | |

Dracut, MA | So you want everything put into every Ad? commercials themselves would be as long as shows just to put them to your standards. There is a ToS, yes it can be read at any time. Yes it can be read before you set up services. Yes it can be read AFTER you set up services. If you want someone to hold your hand then thats great for you. But common sense says to look over what you are getting before you buy. | |

| You are free to read the ToS anytime before or after you sign up. (in fact it's ALWAYS smart to read the terms of ANY contract, and request clarification BEFORE you agree)
CC has not used "unlimited" for many years.
yes they could put millions of warning labels on everything, which would still mostly be ignored, by most people.
I think many thousands of products and services advertised would fail to meet the disclosure status you seek on every piece of product information, press release, etc. | |

Theey could at least put the .4 disclaimer and rapid fire spoken disclaimers like other questionable offers do IMHO, as in myfreecreditreport.

a} CAPS! are part of the ToS for the forseeable future. (something you are well aware of, I believe)
b}Get over it -I for one get very tired of EVERY thread/news item from about ComCast being polluted by the "CAPS! are evil" crowd (many of whom are not even ComCast customers) when the fairly generous cap comcast sets effects only a very, very, very small percentage (maybe none haven't heard of anyone being booted recently) of all of their customers. | |
