I never stated that "we" need or do not need white space devices for broadband. I merely mentioned that I never requested the NAB to sue the FCC on behalf of myself.

Since you asked, I will briefly answer your question on how current WISPs are providing broadband services.

WISPs provide access using licensed spectrum (such as frequencies on the 2.5 GHz radio band) or unlicensed spectrum (such as frequencies on the 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz radio bands). The modulation techniques of OFDM, DQPSK, DBPSK, and others are used to encapsulate the data being transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver.
