Adzilla quietly stopped doing business in the U.S.

So tell me again why this lawsuit is going forward other than to make the suing lawfirm some money by greenmailing some ISPs with a class action lawsuit.

I don't know, maybe the same reason we arrest someone who robbed a bank, even if they "quietly stopped robbing banks?"

It's going forward by certain affected parties who want to serve notice to ISPs that this profit line will not be tolerated. Suing Adzilla doesn't burn the fingers of the ISPs, but suing the ISPs directly makes them understand that consumer and legal backlash is significant enough that they should stay away from DPI of their customer's sessions.

Sure, the lawyers make money, but the plaintiffs underscore their point.

Because holding companies accountable for violating user privacy and wiretap laws aids the communists?

I agree. If they violate the law, they should pay damages.

Cox here does ads based on the channels you watch. But, you can beat that. Turn it onto Lifetime all day. I saw more women's commercials than ever. I even leave the TV on all night to Lifetime. My cat watches the colors.

If you use https on all sites, can they track you anyway?
