bandwidth

How much bandwidth does one really need for attcallvantage I ask because I'm thinking about lowering my internet connection. Right now I have 20 down 2 up that would go to 6 down 512 up. Mainly I'm switching from cable to DSL

You'll be fine, even with "Fax and modem support' enabled. With that option set up, you won't use more than 100k each way. I have 7M/384k service, and CallVantage is flawless.

I too have 7M/384k and CV is fantastic.

I think the only time you might notice diminished call quality is if you do torrents or significant file transfers (up or down). You will of course reach saturation faster on your new speeds vs your 20/2 conection.

I am using AT&T DSL service. My modem shows 6016/768 and it works fine. I do have the ATA behind my WRT54G with the ATA port given highest priority. On occasion I do get some popping noises during a conversation when I am receiving heavy email traffic.
