That is a CAP only Modem and will not work with any provider but Qwest as far as I know.

And a quick comment on DMT, DMT is Discrete Multi Tone (Like CDMA, only it is PtP and less redundant, (technicaly it is very different)). Most forms of comunication work by modulating the frequency, or amplitude (AM/FM), but radio and wired communication is different anyway. CAP works encodes its data on the time domain, while DMT encodes on both the time and frequency domains.
