1) My third phone line still hasn't migrated over- this work order has been outstanding (and supposedly resolved several times) since FairPoint took over from Verizon.
2) Your email may work. Mine does not.
3) The FairPoint CEO is running a wonderful commercial ad apologizing for their earlier transgressions and poor customer service. He promises to make amends, and a whole new company attitude of caring and attentive customer service is promised.
The problem is that you still have to be able to get through to Customer Service...
I can't imagine that FairPoint will become profitable anytime soon... IMO, there are too many flaws in their whole structure, from the top down.

| If you wanted your email to work in the first place you would have switched over long ago when they announced the merger instead of still bitching about it. Everyone knew they would not be able to keep the username@verizon.net email address. No big surprise there. |

| if you changed your email address to a 3rd party such as your own domain or Gmail and had everyone you do business with to use the new address and gave it to your friends and family you would NOT have a problem.
That's the point. You DO NOT rely on your ISP for email. Get another email address and use that instead. |

| That sounds like a matter of opinion to me. Everyone has a right to one, but that doesn't give one license to dictate to others.
I, for one, when provided with a service, would like it to work. When it doesn't I reserve the right to request service to fix it and the right to report on this site when the company doesn't fix it.
Whether or not mouseferatu uses gmail, yahoo, hotmail or other mail services is irrelevant here, IMO. -- Join Team Helix * I am praying for these friends . |
