1. What's the best way to switch from Sympatico? Get a cancellation date, then get Velcom to start my service on that day?

I would overlap both services for at least couple weeks.After all you do not want to stay without Internet in case anything will go wrong during switch. You will be able to connect both providers ( one at a time of-course).
Regarding SS 4200 i do not see a reason for it not to work. Just keep in mind it might need some setup changes. |

cutuzov: I was under the impression that running both at the same time ran the risk that at the cancellation date of the Bell service, I ran the risk of them "pulling the card" and losing the Velcom service.
Not sure if that's correct or not... just trying to piece things together from other posts.
