[POLL] Pop Up Blockers - 2009 Member Choice

Wikipedia defines pop-up ads as " a form of online advertising on the World Wide Web intended to increase web traffic or capture email addresses. It works when certain web sites open a new web browser window to display advertisements. The pop-up window containing an advertisement is usually generated by JavaScript, but can be generated by other means as well. A variation on the pop-up window is the pop-under advertisement. This opens a new browser window, behind the active window. Pop-unders interrupt the user less, but are not seen until the desired windows are closed, making it more difficult for the user to determine which Web site opened them."

Opera and SlimBrowser have very effective popup blockers.
I also have AdMuncher but rarely run it.

Firefox with NoScript's Options to Forbid Java, Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, other plugins, IFRAME and FRAME for all untrusted sites.

Opera with JavaScript, Java and plug-ins disabled in Opera's Preferences and allow by site with Opera's Site Preferences (F12).

Maybe due to the sites I visit, but with using the above have not had enough annoyances with pop-ups/ads to warrant using any ad/pop-up blocking util/app, or even the Adblock Plus extension for Firefox.

Thanks Anonymous_ See Profile for the poll

I use IE7, Opera, a hosts' file, IESpyAd and also the anti-banner in KIS.

Most of the time, Opera has nothing turned on (javascript etc).
