Re: Bandwidth meter pfSense is a *nix based router/firewall similar to monowall or smoothwall. It's not an embedded firmware like a typical router that you would buy from Linksys or DLink, but it's not an application either that you run under windows. Often people install it on an old PC although I suppose you probably could run it under a virtual machine. There are also several hardware appliances that are essesntially embedded computers that are capable of running pfSense (or other *nix based firewalls). |
