Re: Black Screen of Death! My card is an 8800gts 640. Its an old card and my powersupply does kick in when playing WoW. My powersupply is only 400w and the video requires 430 or something like that but i never had a problem in the past. My last update for video drivers was this month. I believe it has gotten fried over the years. |

Madman: It sounds like there is a driver issue or your video card is failing. Try updating your drivers and running Windows Update. If the problem persists, I'd suggest contacting your video card manufacturer's support line.
Edit: Ah, Yes -- memory "falling out" in a running system will definitely give you a frozen computer / black screen. Make sure it is all the way in and the edges click into place. |
