All three PCs in my house (one desktop connected wired, one desktop wireless and one laptop wireless) are behind a router (AT&T U-Verse 2-Wire 3800HGV-B). In addition, all three are currently using Comodo as a software firewall.

I also checked Sygate, which I used before Comodo, but it hasn't been on any PC in the house since late Aug 2008.

Comodo Firewall with Defense+ (not AV) & Router on Desktops
Kaspersky Internet Security SE (for ultra-portables) on my Eee-PC

I figured using a suite on the netbook would be better suited to the lower resources than my usual layered approach and I already had a 3 machine KIS license (free from my bank) which I use for the AV component on my desktops since my KAV license expired

Outpost firewall pro for outbound protection, I also use a router with a firewall for inbound protection.
