After all this time, one would think that with as many new posters as there are here, probably part of this poll, that one of the others might have taken over.  Alas, not so.  Even I, after removing ZASS, am still using ZAF along with a router.  I tried a few others and didn't care for them. Needless to say, not only is it light on resources but seems to be as effective, if not more, as ZoneAlarm. When I connect directly to the modem (as I am presently to figure out if the router is causing problems) I use the Windows firewall. <br><br>On my Vista Ultimate virtual machine, I use ZA Pro which I got for free for one year on their tenth anniversary.  ProcessGuard will not work on Vista and the pickins for classic HIPS on Vista are slim so I jumped at getting ZA free for a year. I like it and it works fine with Avira Suite 9 beta (minus the firewall module).<br><br>I forgot to vote for it, but on a virtual machine running XP Pro SP2, I have been using Avira firewall from the beta 9 version.
