Re: [DSL] Aol service cannot connect

i have to ask...why is he using AOL?

i popped in this forum just to see what some of the problems were.

i can understand if broadband isnt available, but why does someone with a broadband connection, connect to the internet with AOL?

i just dont get it.

Is your friend running McAffe virus software? A quick review of that error code seemed to indicate that might be a potential source of the problem.

G'luck!

Hi I have a friend who is having a problem. He has dsl and it works just fine. I can use aol explorer, and browse the web. However his aol service will not connect and I poured through the error logs and got this message.

AC-00000 0X90000000

I have tried creating a new connection, adding an exception to the his firewall, and reinstalling AOL but to no avail.

Its really wracking my brain and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
