| reply to wave sucks Re: Wave Falsely Advertising
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
So you think it's not even worth investigating further?
Regaurdless, these homes have NEVER had decent broadband, so they are likley to see a return on investment rather quickly. In my eye, $5,000 - $9,000 is a small price to pay considering the circumstances.

| Okay, I just measured it Via Google map and the satellite pics.
The house is roughly 1,500 ft. to the nearest node. An RG-11 coaxial cable has a maximum range of 1,500 feet. Theoretically, I could run an RG-11 cable myself to my parents house and tweak the signal free of charge.. Thankfully, the node is on the correct side of the road and most of it is on my parents property. They have 7 acres.
I wouldn't see why Wave would turn me down if I did this myself, if it's already wired.. But whatever.. Would be easier if they just pushed it up another node about 500 ft.
Seriously, we are that close! |

| I would try again with Wave, which could have sent an idiot installer to the house.
I had the same exact thing happen when I moved into my new house seven years ago. Technician came out to install and said it wasn't available. He showed me my work order which only had video listed, with no internet. I asked him to try anyways and he wouldn't. After many times calling their main office I finally got someone to come out and hook it up. Turns out it was a screw up in their database.
My neighbors all had internet access from Wave at the time also. I even told the tech that and he didn't care. |

Maybe that's what I need to be doing then. Just keep calling them.
I had given up hope, but I guess I should be proactive about this. |

| So, I called today.
I specifically asked to have an engineer come out and survey. She put my cell phone down in the work order so I can talk to them directly to see what it's going to take to get service.
I really hope they call me back so we can get the ball rolling. |
