at otty the idea is that technology makes things cheaper NOT 20 times more expensive
cars can do better your new furnace is more energy efficient your computers are faster your UGH
yet here we have the hollywood/corporate abuse gone wild. SLOW you down give you less make you pay more.
What the CRTC is saying is: SCREW YOU UNLESS YOUR RICH SCREW DISABLED , AND SCREW ANYONE NOT MAKING 6 figures.
Shaw's 100megabit offering is prime example I want teksavvy to tell me that: A) if i pay for april i get what i pay for the whole month B) that they wont change it mid month C) other wise cya. I won't be alone AND bell has got to have the most arse backwards businessmen on earth. Screwing your customers and partners and resellers aka wholesalers is about what 75-90 million a month to bell? and you think if half of us leave the net were going to what come back to SHITPATICO? NOT...
so here comes the cya form most of canadians except the rich. YUP in the end harper wins his lil war on the poor again, out of site out of mind. WHILE im off the net ill be spending money on printer ink and litering your cities with HOW i THINK ABOUT IT. Guess thats next law , and hten what thought police? |

1 edit | Well now, I haven't read the whole post, but I can tell you this (as a long time Bell customer)
Fight this thing and I may well swith to TS!
Without going in to it too much, I am well fed up with Bell Reminds me of how Bell jacked the rates for pulse dialing EDIT:(to above that which they charge for tone dialing) customers(you know the dial phone some of us used as kids), -the kind pensioners use -that cost Bell less to service and the customers they got as a monopoly
Now back on topic... To H with B
EDIT: I should add that every time I talk to Bell they are trying to get me to upgrade my service, at least my modem, even though I constantly tell them I don't need it.
It's a little hypocritical of them to be applying to the CRTC in such a manner, ie: so that they can sell me an ultra high speed modem then limit my ability to use it.
What the CRTC should be doing is breaking them up and forcing competition. |

Re: Bell appeals CRTC decision said by eots:George Cope, the president and CEO of BCE says, "As in any other competitive industry in Canada, we should be able to choose who distributes our services and how, be it wholesale, retail, direct or any other creative form of distribution channel." Bell needs to get one thing straight, the wholesale ISP's are NOT distributing Bell services! We should also be able to say how the network (that they think they own) should also be used. |
