someone is selling a car for super duper cheap, with a cover story of being overseas for various reasons and their car is being held in escrow in the states. You pay to an "escrow service" so you can then "inspect" the car, but in reality the car is never theirs to begin with and the money is already gone. images of cars are hotlinked from other sites and being sold as theirs. just like in the op post, it usually starts like that. "title is clear, working no dings scratches etc"
