Re: [VoIPo] DTMF tones galore....You may have posted it - but what router/firmware? I'm working through some weirdness with support that has only been happening with the PAP2, not the GS502 - and the deeper we get the more I'm beginning to think it's a problem with the router/firmware. I could be completely off-base - and we'll keep diving deeper with it. My setup: Cablevision/OOL Motorola SBV5120 cable modem provisioned 30 down/5 up Linksys WRT610N firmware 1.00.02 B10 PAP2T (or GS502) hangs directly off a wired port on the router. D-Link 8 Port Gig-E switch for other wired devices On the router, I have SPI Firewall disabled (it used to be enabled pre-January and the 502 worked fine) Port Forwarding ports 5060-5081 (in case ports need to be changed) to the PAP2T No QOS (don't really need it with 30/5 ) No port-triggering or DMZ (although when using the 502 I put it in the DMZ) |

I can, but the issue is I have another one down stairs set up in bridge mode with the xbox 360 and Directv connected to it that was a witch to configure. So I may just try to buy a new one and do that. |

Buy is somewhere that will take it back with no restocking charge. |

I just don't see how the router can be faulty when the 502 worked like a champ except for the dropped registration. All of these issues really started after the 502 was swapped out. At this point I may take a dropped registration or two so I don't have 2-3 other issues. |

You may be able to get a working GS ATA, if you pay for all the shipping. |

Stupid question, but is the PAP2 plugged into the same LAN port that you used for the 502? Have you tried other LAN ports? Other cables? |

I used it for the last few years without ever having any problems. Updated from v19 to v23 and it seemed like I had problems non-stop. Tried going down to v22, still had issues. Just for sh!ts and giggles, I switched to DD-WRT and all my issues have vanished. Just my .0000000002 cents |

Ptrowski, On the chance that you issues are related to the version of Tomato you are running, you might want to try V21. That is the version I am running and I know you know how well my setup has been running. I forget why I didn't try V22 or 23 when they came out, but I think I remember hearing of some issues. There has got to be a logical explanation. |

Unless one is a glutton for punishment, I don't know how anyone can do proper troubleshooting unless they strip down to the core and work from there. Otherwise you are beating your head against the wall. Computers are evil.. |
