Yahoo and AOL should just be the ones who merge. Sure they are both brain dead companies, but between the 2 there may be a few good salvageable services.

i'm sure between the two companies they could manage to get AOL IM and Yahoo! IM to work together the same as Yahoo! and MSN Live do. They'd have it made there. Also Yahoo! could get back in the Internet business as they once were and maybe AOL would become the ISP for ATT or even VZ.

I'm surprised none of the telco's signed with AOL for any services like ATT, VZ, Qwest, Embarq, etc. Having an outside ISP handle everything such as CSR, billing, etc would take a lot off the last mile provider.
