Re: Action 8 port router RI408 using as just a router? Well I just did it today, couldnt get it to work until I plugged into the WAN port..
I changed the main router (it is also a dsl modem) to 192.168.2.1
And I changed the 8 port router to 192.168.1.1
(reason for the seperate networks is because I share this connection with a neighbor and we dont want to share/view computers)
It seems when I plugged into one of the 8 ports the router would not be able either provide me an ip address to my NIC card or it would give me a dns error |
