Verizon bought a GSM system and converted it to CDMA. Why can't ATT buy US Cellular's CDMA and convert it to GSM?
because they won't do it. at&t is too busy and financially tied down trying to get U-verse out everywhere. And as soon as they get u-verse out everywhere they'll realize they just should have done FTTH in the first place and start doing that.
AT&T will never have it everywhere, they don't even have DSL everywhere (my home of Redwood Valley being one), and they've had well over 10 years to get it out.
My point is that at&t is not buying US Cellular
