Re: [Unlock] TUTORIAL: VONAGE WRTP54G/RTP300 WITH 5.01.04 I don't have another RTP300. I do have another 12V 1.5A power supply which I connected. No difference in the RTP300's operation. |

 | I was able to establish a stable connection to the RTP300 LAN port but it required that I have a second computer connected to another of the unit's LAN ports and a fan blowing air into the bottom of the unit. Yes, I'd say the unit is having hardware problems. Once I established the stable connection I was able to login with admin/admin and manipulate any parameters that were allowed. Tried to login with user/tivonpw but that didn't work. Then I tried the CYT Unlocker versions 3.9 and 4.6. Let each of them run multiple times for up to 5 minutes but nothing happened. Recommendations? |

If you can downgrade its firmware, perhaps CYT_Unlocker will do the trick. -- Mazilo always prays for FREEBIES! US Phone: +1-678-601-0907 UK Phone: +44-703-194-2574

 | The RTP300 has firmware rev 5.01.04. I'll try Mazilo's suggestion as soon as I can clear some time (I've already spent the better part of two days on this beast). |
|
 | Use JTAG will completely make the NA version. Empty the keys. Load the 3.1.24 (RTP300) and 3.1.27 (WRTP54G). |

Yes, I'd say the unit is having hardware problems. Recently got similar unit (from eBay). Turned out to be broken soldering joint below TI BGA chip. If you don't have professional BGA rework equipment handy, I would recommend to ask someone equipped to reflow whole board. It may be more expensive than another used RTP300 of course. |
