Yes, a sweeping generalization, but I'm starting to believe it more and more, because of the proof right in front of my eyes. The people I know, from my own experiences, who bought the iPhone, well they don't really use what it offers.
Off topic here, but as time moves on, and smart phones become more popular, I tend to ask those who purchase them: Why?

| The iPhone I'm on now I brought from eBay it had a broken screen which I replaced then the replacement went out because it was cheap. Anyways I brought the phone to see what programs where offered with the cydia

My girlfriend hasn't put her iPhone down since she bought it. Of course, my daughter didn't even want one because of the on-screen keyboard.
I decided to get one because it was $200 less than the competing BB at the time. I am actually fairly pleased with it. It can do a lot more than I thought (Exchange push, VPN connectivity, SSH support, RDP support, SIP client for work PBX -- across 3G too Jailbroken) that I was never able to do with my other WinMo phones.
I've also found a wealth of nifty apps, like a subnet calculator, pandora streaming radio, a neato conversion app (weights/measurements), along with several other time wasters.
It was completely worth the $99 (yes, $99 refurbed) that I paid for it. |

I have the IPod 2G, and love the thing. But I spend 2 - 3hrs commuting every day. I use it a lot on our wifi at home as well. My wife still controls the TV remote, but now I can disappear into the IPod instead of sleeping through Dancing with the Stars, or Grey's Anatomy.
I haven't even unlocked the thing yet as we had a $15 itunes gift card lying around that has been more than enough to fill the little sucker with entertainment. I bring movie's and TV shows with me for in-flight viewing on business trips as well.
I would get an IPhone if my company supported it, but they are BBerry only. What I'd really like to do is figure out a way to let the Ipod use the BBerry as a modem.  |
