Re: [Proggy] Google Voice dialer

Going to the login page means not signing in, correct? Have you guys had any success going to the login page and trying the app? Thanks

I am using GVdial 70 and no matter what I do I get "could not establish session key". I have tried visiting the signon page and other pages first. No luck. Help?

What browser are you using to visit the sign-on page? Keep in mind that it has to be IE (Internet Explorer). No other browser will do--period.

Today I got the following error message:

I can confirm getting the same error, but haven't yet determined the cause. It would seem at first glance, though, that Google have changed things yet again to make life 'interesting' for GV dialer authors.

A Sipsorcery poster found the problem was "google voice http post doesn't work." A fix was described in the Technical Support forum.

Getting the following now when using gvdial 0.70.0, worked fine until the past week or so:

Internal Server Error
Error 500

Just two messages up from yours, I posted version 0.71.0, which resolves your problem.

Thanks, for some reason I could not see the last page of this thread which has the fix.

For some reason, 0.71.00 has stopped working for me (doesn't ring phone). I can still go in and dial from Google Voice, though...

Exactly same thing happened to me starting yesterday. I think it is related to the issue stated at »Re: SIPsorcery + Google Voice » Occasional outgoing calls

This should fix it.

This version works but I don't need to specify '7' for Gizmo callback. just works on 747 numbers now.

Correct. The new phonetype parameter is optional and will default to 7 for any callback number starting in 747, or 2 otherwise. The phonetype parameter allows for explicitly overriding the default.

Thanks for sharing this utility. I tried using it on windows XP Pro cmd.exe as follows:

start> Run > Cmd>
gvdial username password 7131234567 8321234567

cmd.exe replies with:

GVDial 0.72.00 (alpha)

What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the callback number (8321234567 in your example) defined as one of your forwarding numbers with Google Voice? It has to be defined in Google Voice as one of your phone numbers, or you'll get that error response.

ok it worked this time. I tried it again and this time it gave me what appears to be a success code.

{"ok":true,"data":{"code":0}}

your dialer dialed my number and then connected me to the number I called.

Is this how this dialer is intended to be used, i.e., as a command line dialer or are there other ways to use it?
