| Netopia 3346-002 Stateful Packet Inspection They provide a way to specify the TCP Sequence Number Difference; here's what they say about this:
TCP Sequence Number Difference: Enter a value in this field. This value represents
the maximum sequence number difference allowed between subsequent TCP packets.
If this number is exceeded, the packet is dropped. The acceptable range is 0 - 65535.
A value of 0 (zero) disables this check.
What would be a good number to use here? I have worked with routers that have SPI built into them, but this is the first time that I have had any opportunity to customize the SPI parameters. If it makes any difference, I am on AT&T Basic (768 kbps downstream, 384 kbps upstream). |
