Anon | Bazillion - some good, some bad The good: (1) Very quick install, good coordination between US-Worst, Covad, and Bazillion. Covad technician was very, very nice.
(2) Good price for IDSL ($50/month), plus dial-up option and 400 minutes of long distance each month. Price includes unlimited traffic - other ISPs want to charge $10/per gigabyte of transfer.
(3) Good, consistant thru-put. Speed usually is between 130-137 kB/sec, out of a max of 144.
The bad: (1) Tech center botched conversion from DHCP to static IP, connection down for 1 day.
(2) Tech center accidentally reassigned my PVC (private virtual ckt) to someone else, connection went down for a day.
(3) Front line customer support people are not very knowledgeable and sometimes a little short.
(4) Long hold times when calling for support.
(5) Bazillion accidentally signed me up for 3 DSL line installs instead of one. Took a couple of days to clear up. |
