This is a more "proper" way to see DPI implemented - they are using DPI to set QOS parameters basically. Many ISP's today prioritize *some* traffic to ensure smooth service delivery (VOIP is a primary example).
QOS is a complex topic and to properly mark/queue/police VOIP at times, so using DPI devices is actually logical for Primus to use.
I'm not promoting DPI here, just saying that this makes much more sense than Bell's approach from a technical standpoint in my opinion....
