Re: my teleblend not working

And the reason you posted a Ticket number in this thread is ....
.... To seek help from TBSupport1 ?

If customers of ViaTech, VOIPo, Voip.MS, and others, are allowed/encouraged to seek help in the various forums on this website, there is no reason this fellow should be denied that privilege. And every Voip outfit has a support department of some sort.

Oh, come now, PX_E. I see it somewhat differently. If all VoIP customers were to use the BBR Forums for direct dialogues with company reps, in lieu of contacting the Customer Service people, these Forums would lose 95% of their value to other posters. Just look back at the vast majority of thread topics in the TeleBlend Sub-Forum. With few exceptions, the OP is directing his/her post straight to TeleBlend1. This detracts from the underlying purpose of BBR ... to encourage questions & answers, give & take ... not to mention learning all sorts of things about VoIP providers and their technology, equipment, services, quality, products, features, problem-resolution, etc.

I'm just expressing my opinion, not necessarily that of others. On the one hand, we can have an Original Post that reports a problem or issue ... to which a bunch of posters respond ... and sometimes one of the provider reps jumps in to help.

On the other hand, with the Teleblend Forum, we mainly see a two person dialogue, back and forth between the OP and TeleBlend1 ... using the Forum in lieu of the provider's support system.

It may be my "grumpy" time of the day ... but I see a difference between someone asking "Can somebody help me with a problem I'm having ..." as opposed to blatantly posting "Hey, TeleBlend1, check out my Ticket #xxxxxxx" --- which offers nothing to other BBR Members since we get little information from the OP and nothing useful from TB1 (in most cases).

I see your point---

---and in fact I did previously suggest that the TB forum be removed because it is so rarely used, and does often seem just to be an extension of their support.

However, this guy probably has a TB supplied device, and can't offer any more details other than those he has stated.

So I don't think that he should be overly faulted for trying to get help for his problem. Heaven knows that there are many posts that are far more frivolous.

I think that these forums can have multiple purposes. Flovent is officially for asthma but can also be used off-label for eosinophilic esophagitis.

And I agree with your points. (So, let's do lunch.)

I wasn't looking to "overly fault" this particular OP. It's sort of like Reflux Esophagitis ... I can tolerate the recurring heartburn when it occurs in the lower retrosternal area ... but when there is a build-up of full blown regurgitation, I start choking on the gastric content. My initial response to the OP simply reflected an accumulation of similar one on one dialogues that had preceded this thread.

Conclusion: How sad that TeleBlend (the company) apparently can't provide their customers with adequate support.

I would hate to see the Teleblend forum shut down. Right now things are extremely stable with Teleblend with the exception of the individual issue here and there. I was able to post here and the Teleblend1 support rep was actually no help at all. It was another person on the forum that resolved my issue.

Things might change, and this forum might again sometime be
more active.

I see your point. And since TB support hasn't responded to the OP (from March 17th!) I guess that at this point this is indeed a forum where help is sought from the other readers rather than from the company.

But this TeleBlend forum is read by relatively few people. If someone DOES need help, wouldn't there be much greater chance of getting that help in the main Voip forum, which has so many more readers?

I certainly don't mind keeping it. But if forums have feelings, the TB forum must be feeling pretty lonely....

I understand what you are saying. Since TB1 Support does not seem to be very responsive on this forum. The person looking for help may get more exposure on the main forum.
This in turn my force TB1 support to a better job.

I guess if they decide to close this forum I won't shed any tears then.
