If you read the product features page, it actually has some neat features like hardware traffic shaping, full TCP/IP Offload Engine, a replacement TCP/IP stack, and hardware VoIP chat. Although I question the need for all of that with today's multi-core CPUs. Most games won't use more than 2 cores so 2 free cores is more than enough to handle what this card can do.
This product should have been introduced 8 years ago ... I just don't see the need for it today. My guess is the issues it will introduce will outweigh any potential benefits. |
