Doctor Olds : No, DHCP should be OFF when in Bridge Mode. Normally you should not have to manually set it to off as the change to Bridge Mode is handled automatically by the Firmware (usually, but there are exceptions to the rule) after you select a radio button or check mark box to switch modes. DHCP and the other services that are not needed (NAT, SPI, Logging, PPPoE shim) all get turned off/are disabled all at the same time.
--
What’s the point of owning a supercar if you can’t scare yourself stupid from time to time?

Doctor Olds : Because the Manufacturer has made a special Rule that is needed for NAT operation when in Router Mode. Since NAT is disabled in Bridge Mode and none of the NAT rules can interfere with the TCP/IP traffic it is a moot point as the Modem is not translating the packets when used as a Bridge. Just like the DHCP server settings don't matter either as they are not used when in Bridge Mode because the DHCP server is disabled in that state. You will need it though if you ever want to use NAT in the future so leave it alone as it is not affecting any of the Bridged Mode Modem's traffic.
--
What’s the point of owning a supercar if you can’t scare yourself stupid from time to time?
