Re: Laptops and Their Speakers

Get a good set of headphones as others suggested.

I bought three pairs of the PX-100 because they are inexpensive and sounds great on my notebook, mp3 player, and surround receiver.

Like anything else they will eventually disappear so get a pair or two well you can IMO.

I have a 5 year old pair of PX100.

I am extremely satisfied with them.

I have tried my friend's pair of Bose headphones and they were plain out amazing. I know they are pretty expensive but they so much base for headphones.

I have one of those HP notebooks with the subwoofer on the bottom. That has speakers that sound great.

Its really touch and go, and it also depends upon the model.
Most dell's I have come across are decent, My friend has older Inspirion 6000 and they are loud and clear. We have a Vostro 1500 at work and they seem just as precise, a surprise considering its a business unit. Thinkpads I know are horrible and have no volume to them at all.

My laptop's speakers suck. They're tinny and way too quiet.

I tried these speakers from Logitech - »www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speak···=roeu,en
They plug into the USB port. No separate power supply. No connection to the headphone jack. It's nice to have only 1 cable to connect.

They sounded good, but didn't work with my laptop's USB port. It's probably my laptop's fault.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
