There was a Migration and it sounds like you are saying you do not have DSL Sync, is that correct? The DSL LED would not be Solid Green like it should be, but the DSL LED would either off or flashing on/off. Is that what your symptom is?

Or do you have DSL Sync aka a Solid Green DSL LED, but cannot get a actual connection with a possible error message telling you to check your Username or Password from the DSL Modem.

My Sync-PPOE Lite is solid amber. Power on/off reset causes it to eventually blink green but when I try and sign in it flashes green then drops back to amber. Modem selftest tests alll home connects good. Looks like basic connectivity. I have trbl tkt with EL no cb yet. What is this about a migration? Does it affect the SF area?

How are you setup? Is there a Router between your PC and the Broadmax? Or are you hooked to the the Broadmax with one PC?

Is the Broadmax in UHP Mode where your Username/Password are entered into the Modem Web Interface or is it in Bridge Mode with you running a Broadband PPPoE connection in Windows or any other OS?

»EarthLink DSL FAQ »What do the lights on the LED display mean on the UHP modem?
quote:
Not Configured:

Sync/PPPoE - Flashing amber indicates that the modem is training (looking for an ADSL signal). Flashing green indicates that the modem has Synchronized with an ADSL signal and is ready to be configured. If the modem continues to flash amber for more than 5 minutes there is no ADSL signal on the line. If the modem is a constant solid amber color, the modem is either a)configured in bridge mode or b)configured in UHP mode and the pppoe session is manually disconnected from the setup page in the HTML interface.

Configured:

1. Sync/PPPoE - Flashing amber indicates that the modem is training (looking for an ADSL signal). Flashing green indicates that the modem has Synchronized with an ADSL signal and is attempting to establish a PPPoE connection. Solid Green indicates that the Modem has successfully created a PPPoE connection.

Excellent news. The Migrations are for some reason never perfect and there seems to be a few people that don't have their service fully restored like it should be.
