Here's a list of recommended popular DRM-Free online sites: » www.techcrunch.com/2007/ ··· -online/I am unsure which ones accept paypal as payment. You will need to check them out for yourself and decide which works for you, regarding price etc. All I can say for sure is that Amazon accepts paypal and that sells DRM-Free music. No idea how price competitive they are though. EDIT: AmieStreet (» amiestreet.com/help) accepts Paypal. BTW. Paypal is paypal, why does iTunes not accept payment from Canada? I think you might have missed the message. Some providers limit certain songs to certain territories. I quote (for example) "Certain music on Amie Street can only be sold to customers with a U.S. IP address. This is required by our licenses with certain content providers who can only offer the right to sell music within a certain territory." |

I was trying to set up an account but was only offered three choices of CC and since I dont have a credit card I cant create an account. I know paypal offers a virtual CC but that too is only avalible to US . somedays it sucks ass to be canadian |

I purchased an album from Amazon. Other than they require their own downloader, it was a nice experience. Music was straight MP3's with no DRM. |

Third Amazon. I always check their daily deal at » www.amazon.com/mp3deals Sometimes the deal really sucks but other days it's good. I got the new Chris Cornell album the morning it was released for $2.99. |

Hell even I have to say thanks for the Amazon tip. Went looking through and bought a few albums. Not only that found about 3 songs from bands I like for free on the download. All @ 320VBR |

I don't use the downloader. Buy Now, save file and you're done. |

You only need the downloader if you wish to purchase albums at a discount. |

Maybe someone could explain it please. I don't use paypal. EDIT: Nevermind. I see why now (or at least one example why): » hoopercamera.info/ebay/w ··· ypal.htm |

Amazon doesn't allow mp3 purchases to anyone outside the U.S.
Amazon.ca does not have an mp3 store. |

That's bull. My friend in England routinely sends me money by paypal to ship him things. His address is confirmed and he uses paypal for ebay orders (US and UK) weekly. |

My link was from one company only and their experience with Paypal. I am sure that every company that sells on e-bay have their own policies. E-bay itself may accept Paypal, but the individuals may not. I guess it depends.
Perhaps you can explain why Canadians are not allowed to use Paypal on iTunes? |

My guess would be because Apple are idiots, blocking out a huge chunk of their potential market because a few people screwed them in the past?? But it could also be a Canadian law/tax deal. Not many companies in the US will sell to Canadians so it's not just paypal or iTunes. My friend has a problem with shipping from here sometimes so the items come to me domestically. |

Not all songs sold by Amazon are RIAA backed artists. There are many independent artists available.
Something tells me that you wouldn't pay 99 cents for a song to help support an independent artist either. |

I get my DRM-free music from Amazon. Sometimes Amazon is cheaper than i-Tunes and their download software is great! It seamlessly adds your songs to iTunes. |
