•3/31/09- 5 additional Chicago sites targeted to launch... They announced deployment in Chicago in Dec.. So far nobody within the city limits has it. So when they say "5 additional Chicago sites", do they mean more Chicago suburbs or are the actually going to venture into the city that they claim is getting the deployment?
I live in Area 4. I think Comcast divided the city of Chicago into five zones.
The city was divided into five zones when the original CATV franchises were doled out. It was supposed to result in more local ownership interests, competition and better service. Instead we got Comcast eating everyone except RCN.
The five sites Comcast refers to are their mega-headends not Chicago zones. -- Toolmaster of La Grange.
